Simplified Double Sheet Detection
Double sheet detection for metal sheet processing is an essential component for safe and trouble free production.
With the A100 and I100, ROLAND ELECTRONIC introduces budget-priced double sheet detectors, which meet the demand for uncomplicated handling.
Features such as simple mounting in the control cabinet as well as machine frame mounting, very easy push button operated adjustment and fast response times make the A100/I100 systems very versatile double sheet detectors.
The A100 uses single probe permanent magnetic sensors (for ferrous material only), the I100 is
operated with dual probe inductive sensors (for ferrous and non-ferrous materials).
Measurement is performed continuously, i.e. the current 0-1-2-sheet condition is indicated at the control unit and simultaneously send to the machine PLC as control signals. The easy-to-perform adjustment (Teach-In) permits fast adaptation to new materials. Applying a sheet with nominal thickness to thesensor or placing it into the sensor gap and pressing a key is all which is required for Teach-in. The
simple rail mounting in the control cabinet as well as availability in a sturdy wall-mount aluminum enclosure outline the flexibility of this system family.
